Legal information

Privacy Policy

How BFP collects, uses, protects, and shares information related to this campaign.

This Privacy Policy applies to the BFP Small Business Visibility Giveaway website and application form. It describes Broward Flyers & Printing's (“BFP”) practices regarding applicant and visitor information.

Information we collect

  • Contact details, such as name, email address, and phone number.
  • Business information, such as legal name, DBA, industry, size, website, social profile, description, and address.
  • Applicant-reported eligibility information, including business ownership categories.
  • Shipping address and information needed to quote and coordinate delivery.
  • Application responses, acknowledgments, consents, submission time, and application reference.
  • Technical and security information, such as IP address, browser, device, language, session identifiers, error logs, and abuse-prevention signals.
  • Additional information provided during verification, selection, design, production, or fulfillment.

How we collect information

We collect information directly when you complete the form, respond to communications, provide files, or interact with the website.

We also automatically collect technical information needed for security, fraud prevention, operation, language preferences, and diagnostics.

How we use information

  • Receive, validate, secure, and administer applications.
  • Detect duplicates, abuse, fraud, errors, and unauthorized activity.
  • Evaluate submission eligibility, selection eligibility, conduct internal reviews, and document decisions.
  • Communicate about verification, selection, waitlist, shipping, design, production, and delivery.
  • Prepare and produce cards for selected businesses.
  • Maintain records, audit trails, aggregate reporting, and program controls.
  • Comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce the Official Rules and Terms of Use.
  • Send BFP promotions and campaign announcements under the marketing consent required by the current program policy.

Ownership and eligibility information

Any registered and operating U.S. business may submit an application. Minority-Owned, Hispanic-Owned, and Women-Owned categories are collected because they determine selection eligibility for this edition.

Applicants who select None of these may submit and receive future communications but cannot be selected in this edition. Broward Flyers & Printing uses this information to administer the campaign, verify selection eligibility, and prepare internal or aggregate reporting.

When we share information

BFP may share information with providers that support hosting, databases, security, abuse prevention, email, storage, design, printing, shipping, support, and analytics. Providers receive only information reasonably necessary to perform their role.

We may also share information with professional advisers, authorities, or third parties when needed to comply with law, protect rights, investigate fraud, enforce rules, or respond to valid legal process.

If BFP is involved in a reorganization, sale, merger, or business transfer, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to applicable protections.

BFP does not sell application information for money.

Selected-business announcements

BFP may publish the business name, city, and state of selected businesses to administer and announce the campaign.

Additional use of logos, images, testimonials, or stories will be handled according to applicable permissions and communications with the selected business.

Marketing email

Under the current program policy, the form requires consent to receive BFP promotions, campaign announcements, and marketing email.

You may unsubscribe through the link included in commercial messages. Opting out of marketing does not prevent BFP from sending necessary administrative communications about an application already submitted.

Cookies, local storage, and security

The website may use cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies to save language, maintain functionality, protect the form, limit abuse, and remember display preferences.

Security-verification providers may process technical information to distinguish human activity from malicious automation.

Retention

BFP retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to administer the campaign, document decisions, produce and deliver materials, maintain records, enforce rules, comply with law, and manage consented communications.

When information is no longer needed, BFP may delete it, de-identify it, or retain it in aggregate form unless law or a legitimate need requires longer retention.

Security

BFP uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No system is completely secure, and BFP cannot guarantee absolute security.

Do not submit passwords, Social Security numbers, banking details, payment-card data, or unrequested documents through the application form.

Access, correction, deletion, and other requests

You may ask about your data or request correction or deletion by contacting BFP. BFP may verify the requester's identity and authority before responding.

Some requests may be limited where information is required for security, fraud prevention, internal records, legal compliance, claims, or administration of an existing application.

Applications cannot be edited through a public portal after submission, but you may communicate a correction to BFP for review.

Children

The campaign is intended for authorized business representatives and is not designed to collect information from children under 13. If BFP learns that it received information from a child under 13 without valid authorization, it will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Processing in the United States

The campaign is directed to U.S. businesses. Information may be processed and stored in the United States and other locations where BFP providers operate, subject to applicable protections.

Changes to this policy

BFP may update this policy to reflect changes in the campaign, technology, providers, or legal requirements. The updated date will appear on this page.

Material changes will be posted reasonably before they apply when appropriate.
